step 1: determine your compatibility

step 2: talk to us
After learning more about Waxing the City, we invite you to contact one of our knowledgeable franchise sales consultants. To do this, you can either:
• complete the Request Franchise Information form and have a sales consultant call you, or
• call us toll-free at 866-956-4612 (M-F, 8AM - 5PM CT) and ask to speak to a sales consultant.
During your initial phone consultation, we will discuss your location(s) of interest, market demographics, and real estate options. We will also talk about your financing options and expectations for owning and operating a Waxing the City studio.
If you decide to move forward after your phone consultation, we will send you our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
step 3: receive our FDD
The Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) will provide you with in-depth information about the Waxing the City franchise.
Franchise regulations require that you have the FDD for a period of 14 calendar days prior to purchasing a franchise. During this period, you should be actively working with your franchise sales consultant to finalize your territory selection and firm up your financing options.
step 4: receive a franchise agreement
The Franchise Agreement, which is a written contract between Waxing the City and you, lists both parties' obligations and responsibilities. If you are purchasing multiple territories, you will also receive an Area Development Agreement (ADA) at this time. If you form a business entity, each owner must also sign a personal guaranty.
The disclosure period for the Franchise Agreement and the ADA is 7 calendar days, and it can run concurrently with your FDD disclosure period.
step 5: make your final decision
This is an exciting step in the process; it's where you make your final decision. To officially become a Waxing the City franchisee, you simply need to sign your Franchise Agreement and submit an installment of your initial franchise fee to the corporate office.

step 6: attend training
During your initial training, you’ll learn all about studio management, client service standards, and the recruiting, hiring, and training of your studio staff. Our mandatory, one-week training course is required for the principal owner and/or operator of a new franchise. It can also be beneficial to invite key staff members to share in the knowledge.
After your initial training, we provide daily or weekly assistance via the phone, onsite visits, email communications, and custom website systems. Assistance is available throughout your franchise term, and there is no additional cost for this valuable training and support.
step 7: open your studio
A benefit of being a Waxing the City franchisee, versus being on your own, is the assistance you’ll receive regarding general construction information, studio layout, interior design, and the setup of technology that will support your studio operations.
During your build-out, you will have access to experienced franchise consultants that can assist you, your architect, and your contractor through all phases of getting your studio up and running. They are also available to assist you after your studio is open and you’ve begun to provide waxing services.
When all the dust has settled, you will be ready to open your studio. You will also be ready to start living your dream!
